How to refer parents?
What is the referral process?

Referrals are made by local health/welfare practitioners including Health Visitors, Midwives, Children Centre staff, Social Services, GPs and health centres, and Maternity Units.

We recognise that often families require support in various ways and that The Willow Tree can only meet part of that need.  It is for this reason that we seek to partner with Referral agencies.

Referrals to The Willow Tree follow this process:

  • Parent has contact with one of our recognised Referral Partners at which the need to request baby or young children clothing/equipment is identified.
  • The Referral Partner will complete the required form detailing the need.
  • The completed Referral Form will be sent electronically to The Willow Tree team.
  • The Willow Tree team will assemble the items and notify of any stock currently not available.
  • Date to collect the items will be agreed in advance

If you are a local healthcare or service provider and want to know more about The Willow Tree please contact us, or click below to complete a referral partner form.

Items stocked
For children up to 2 years old:

The Willow Tree seeks to stock a wide range of items for distribution and the equipment will be provided for the specified age range.

The family can then be referred back to us if the next age range equipment is required. The Willow Tree are happy to receive back any items that are no longer required and are still in good condition, so they can be reused.

Equipment will be subject to availability. We endeavour to keep stock level as constant as possible through ongoing appeals and collection and will have a network of groups and individuals to contact if a particular item is in need or in short supply.
