Who We Are
About Willow Tree

The Willow Tree is one of a growing number of ‘Baby Banks’ which collect and then redistribute baby and young children clothes and equipment free of charge to families in need.

We receive referrals from local healthcare and support services whilst the clothing and equipment is donated through the generosity of others.

Developed and run by Chadwell Heath Baptist Church it is run by local volunteers.

Areas we cover

Willow Tree supports families in  Barking & Dagenham, parts of Havering and Redbridge. It is one of a growing  number of baby banks across the UK, here are some links to other local bank bank:

Our aims
Five aims of Willow Tree:

  • We will share God’s love in a practical way as free clothing and equipment is provided for babies and small children to parents and families in the community that are in financial need.
  • We will seek to offer a safe, caring and welcoming environment offering hope and support. Parents and families will be welcomed with no judgement passed over their situation.
  • We will work with other service agencies across the community recognising that each has a part to play in the wellbeing of parents and their families.
  • We will seek to build on existing relationships and form new ones with those able to donate clothing and equipment.
  • We will seek to enable others to explore serving the community either directly through the Willow Tree or sign posting to other appropriate projects.

The Willow Tree is a project setup by Chadwell Heath Baptist Church and therefore we adhere to the relevant policies of the church including:

  • Safeguarding
  • Data Protection
  • Health and Safety
