Coronavirus update and how Willow Tree will operate:

We would like to reassure you that we are still open although on a much reduced basis. As a direct result of government recommendations we have made some changes to how we will manage the collection of completed referrals as follows:

1. We will only pass out completed referrals to referrers (social workers, community support workers etc.) and will have no direct contact with families.  Any family member will be turned away.

2. We will operate a strict ‘appointment only’ system on Friday mornings between 10am and 11:30am.

3.  As the volunteers at the Willow Tree are also working in other jobs, any emails sent will only be regularly checked on a Wednesday evening.  Please be patient and bear this in mind when waiting for a response.

4.  We will require confirmation by Thursday evening (by email) that you are coming to keep the appointment to avoid completed referrals clogging up our limited storage.

5. We have limited stock but will give out what we have.  Please fill out a referral as normal and we will confirm what we can supply. (All referrals must be made through our online form, any direct emails/texts referrals will be deleted).

6. We have a range of nappies available at present.

7. We will be self-distancing on collections, this will mean the following;

a) Come to the white door at the bottom of the passageway to the left of the church and ring the doorbell.

b) Step at least two meters away from the door, this is about where the pencil gate is to your right as you look at the door.

c) The door will be opened and you will be asked to confirm who you are and what you have come to collect.  You WILL NOT be allowed into the hall itself.

 d) The door will be closed, the collection sorted and then it will be placed outside the door.  The door will be closed and then you can get the collection.

 e) No help will be given to carry the collection to any vehicle so make sure you have adequate transport to take away the collection.

 f) No orders will be taken to anyone’s house.

I hope you understand that these restrictions are placed into effect to protect the Willow Tree workers and those who are coming to pick up the referrals.
